Privacy Policy

Funny Photo Lab ("the app", "we", "us") is a photo editing app for Android. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. The short version: everything happens on your phone. The app has no server, does not collect personal data, and never uploads your photos.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect, store or transmit any personal information. The app does not require an account, does not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and does not use analytics, advertising or crash reporting services.

2. Your photos

Photos you choose from your gallery, or take with the in-app camera, are processed only on your device.
Face detection and person segmentation (used for face effects, beauty tools and background replacement) run locally with bundled machine learning models. Face data is used only to position effects on the current photo, is kept in memory while you edit, and is never saved or sent anywhere.
Edited photos are saved only when you tap Save, into the Pictures / Funny Photo Lab folder on your device, or shared with an app you pick when you tap Share.
Photos taken with the live camera are kept temporarily in the app's private cache so the editor can open them, and can be cleared at any time by clearing the app's cache or uninstalling the app.

3. Permissions

Permission	Why the app needs it
Camera	For the Live Camera screen with real-time filters. Only used while that screen is open.
Photos / media (photo picker)	To open the photos you select for editing or collages. The app only receives the photos you pick.
Storage (Android 9 and below only)	To save your edited photos to the gallery.

The app does not request internet access for its features and does not use location, contacts or microphone.

4. Third-party services

The app includes Google ML Kit on-device face detection and selfie segmentation libraries. These models are bundled with the app and process images locally on your device. No image data is sent to Google or to us. Standard Android system components (such as the photo picker and the share sheet) are governed by Google's own policies.

5. Children

The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no data leaves the device, there is nothing for us to collect, review or delete.

6. Data security and retention

Since no data is transmitted to us, there is no data on our side to secure or retain. Everything the app creates lives on your device and is under your control. Uninstalling the app removes its private cache; photos you saved to your gallery remain until you delete them.

7. Changes to this policy

If the app ever adds a feature that changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
